Daniel Webster Greatest Needs

With a new Spanish Immersion magnet program, enhanced art, music, physical education and mentorship programs, Daniel Webster is on its way to becoming one of SFUSD’s hidden gems. But there is still a great deal to do. We need your support now.

Donations to PREFund are tax deductible. Below are examples of some of the school’s greatest needs. You can request what you would like your donation to cover.

Program Needs
$51,000 Community Builder. Innovative program to enhance current mentor program by building a unified community among families, teachers, students, and faculty and will include team building activities and social services.

$25,000 Stanford Math/Computer Laboratory

$23,500 Comprehensive, all inclusive afterschool program for the year. Sports4Kids.

$15,000 Matching funds to $15,000 San Francisco Foundation grant to cover salary for full time salary for on-site social worker. Currently, SFUSD pays for 2.5 days.

$15,000 Rock Climbing, team building, mentoring offsite program for 4th and 5th graders. One time per month for school year.

$2,000 Professional development workshops for teachers.

$2,000 Sponsor a community building BBQ event for Daniel Webster families and Potrero Hill community.

$1,000 Teacher/community support offsite to outline shared goals.

$500 Sponsor a classroom for teaching materials.

$500 Sponsor a monthly activity by age groups. i.e. Performance artists, musicians, etc.

$400 Sponsor a quarterly perfect attendance awards program.

$200 Sponsor a teacher appreciation event.

Volunteers

In order to make Daniel Webster Elementary the best it can be, we need community volunteers now. We have parents that do not yet have children in the school volunteering every week by leading art projects and reading in the classrooms. Please contact us for volunteer opportunities.
