Why Give

You’ve seen the changes around the neighborhood – a major facelift on the corner of Missouri & 20th and more families staying in the neighborhood thanks to available preschools and viable elementary schools. Enrollment is rising on the Hill and so are test scores. Please help us continue to help Potrero Hill students get the well-rounded, rich education they deserve.

We are committed to public education in Potrero Hill. In the past 5 years we have:

• Kept young families in the neighborhood by establishing PKDW, our Spanish bilingual preschool
• Saved an elementary school from closure by bringing a coveted Spanish immersion program to Daniel Webster
• Spearheaded major physical improvements at Daniel Webster
• Funded programs including tutoring, mentoring, positive play/leadership as well as field trips, additional supplies and staff team building events at Daniel Webster
• Contributed to other neighborhood efforts that educate children, including the NABE, International Studies Academy, Starr King Elementary School and Friends of Potrero Hill Nursery School.

Despite how far we’ve come, there’s still a long way to go and we can’t do it alone.

Your tax deductible contribution will support staff and critical enrichment programs that will be lost due to our state and city budget crisis.
